SATURDAYS, PATIENCE, CRAFT
Another beautiful day out in Portland with a high of 89º
Eustace in one of his many demonstrations throughout the day.
Saturdays seem to have a change-of-pace compared to the rest of the week. We had the opportunity to learn and try our hands at pattern making with Eustace Robinson, an expert in the craft. In a learn-by-doing method, we taped up lasts, and cut out patterns as we worked our way to making actual shoes. It was awesome to be able to play with our hands and work on our craftsmanship.
